TWINKIE CAKE | |
1 yellow cake mix with pudding 1/2 c. Crisco 2 sticks butter (not whipped kind) 5 tbsp. flour 1 c. sugar 1 c. water 2 tsp. vanilla 1. Mix cake according to directions on box. 2. Grease and flour 9x13 inch pan and lay wax paper across width and up sides (to lift cake out). Pour batter into pan. 3. Bake according to directions on box. 4. While baking, mix flour and water; boil until it thickens. Cool completely. 5. Mix flour mixture with remaining ingredients and beat until fluffy. 6. When cake is done, lift out by paper and flip over on second wax sheet. Remove first wax sheet. Cool. Use dental floss to cut in two sheets. Put fluffy mix between layers, sprinkle with powdered sugar. (May add cocoa to sugar, if desired.) |
