GERMAN POTATO SALAD 
5 lbs. red potatoes
1/2 lb. bacon
1 med. onion
3 tbsp. flour
1/2 c. white sugar
1/2 c. white vinegar
1 c. water
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
3 hard boiled eggs, sliced

Cook and peel potatoes. Fry bacon and crumble; reserve drippings and cook onion in bacon drippings until tender. Blend flour, sugar, vinegar, water, bacon drippings, salt and pepper; stir over low heat until it thickens. Add crumbled bacon and gently toss potatoes in mixture. Top with eggs.
