GERMAN POTATO SALAD 
5 lbs. red potatoes
3 ribs celery
1/2 med. pepper
1 sm. onion, peeled
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. celery seed
10-12 strips bacon
1 c. vinegar
1 c. chicken stock
2 eggs, lightly beaten

Boil potatoes - peel or leave skin on. Finely dice pepper, celery and onion. Cut up potatoes. Add pepper, celery, onion, salt, pepper and celery seed.

Fry bacon until crisp and drain. Reserve drippings. Mix vinegar and chicken stock and bacon drippings in small pot. Simmer 2-3 minutes. Pour 1/2 of dressing over potatoes. Toss gently to coat potatoes. Add beaten egg and bacon pieces and mix.
