GERMAN CHOCOLATE POUND CAKE 
2 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
4 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. butter flavor
1 c. buttermilk
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 pkg. German sweet chocolate
3 c. sifted flour

Cream sugar and shortening and add eggs, flavors and buttermilk. Sift flour, soda and salt together. Then add German chocolate that has been softened in warm oven or in double broiler. Blend together well. Cook in Bundt or plain pan that has been greased and floured. Cook about 1 1/2 hours at about 300 degrees. Remove cake from pan while still hot.
