FROSTING THAT NEVER HARDENS | |
2 1/2 tbsp. flour 1/2 c. milk 1/2 c. Crisco vegetable shortening 1/2 c. sugar 1/4 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. vanilla 1 c. powdered sugar (sifted) Blend the milk and flour together and cook until thick paste. Cool to lukewarm. Meanwhile cream shortening, sugar and salt. Mix at fairly high speed. Add the lukewarm paste and beat until fluffy. Add vanilla and (nuts, optional), stir, then powdered sugar. Ices about 90 cookies. |
