1/2 c. sugar
1/3 c. orange flavored liqueur
1 qt. strawberries
1/2 pt. vanilla ice cream
1/2 c. whipping cream
1/4 tsp. almond extract

Sprinkle 1/2 cup sugar and 1/3 cup orange flavored liqueur over q quart strawberries that have been washed, dried and hulled. Refrigerate 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Let 1/2 pint good quality vanilla ice cream soften in refrigerator 1 hour. Beat 1/2 cup whipping cream until stiff. Fold in 1/4 teaspoon almond extract. Gently fold whipped cream and ice cream into strawberries. Serve immediately to 8 people.
