CORNFLAKE COOKIES 
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/4 c. shortening
1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs, well beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flaked or shredded coconut
2 c. cornflakes

Sift together first 4 ingredients. Add sugar gradually; beat until light. Add eggs and vanilla.

Combine dry ingredients and creamed mixture; add coconut and cornflakes. Drop by the tablespoonsful onto greased cookie sheet about 1 1/2 inches apart. Bake at 375 degrees until light brown in color.
