BUTTERMILK BISCUITS 
2 c. flour (plain)
2 tbsp. lard
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. buttermilk
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt

Sift dry ingredients and blend with lard. Add milk to make soft dough. Roll out to 1/2 inch thickness, cut rounds and place on greased biscuit pan. Bake at 425 degrees for about 10 to 12 minutes.
