BUTTERMILK BISCUITS 
3 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. Crisco
1 c. buttermilk

Mix flour, soda, baking powder and salt. Cut in Crisco with blender until the mixture looks like coarse meal. Add milk and stir just enough to hold dough together. Place dough on board or pastry cloth which has been dusted with flour. Knead lightly several times. Roll out dough 1/2 inch thick. Cut with floured biscuit cutter. Bake on ungreased baking sheet, in hot oven (425 degrees) for 10 or 15 minutes.
