BROCCOLI SOUP 
1-1/2 c. chicken broth
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. dried thyme
1 bay leaf
2 c. chopped broccoli

White Sauce:

2 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
dash of pepper
1 c. milk

In a soup pot add, chicken broth, onion, garlic powder, thyme, bay leaf and broccoli. Cook until broccoli is tender. Take out bay leaf. While this is cooking, make white sauce.

WHITE SAUCE: In sauce pan, melt butter and add flour, salt and pepper. Cook until bubbly, slowly add milk. Combine vegetable to white sauce and stir.

Makes 3-1/2 c. soup.
