SOFT MOLASSES COOKIES 
2 1/4 cups flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. ginger
1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup sugar
1 large egg
1/2 cup molasses
1/2 cup water

Cream shortening, sugar, egg and molasses. Beat well and add flour, dry ingredients and spices alternating with warm water just until smooth. Drop by Tbsp. 2 inches apart.

Bake at 375°F for 10 minutes.
