FRUIT CRUMB CAKE 
3 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1/2 lb. butter
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 jars or cans of fruit pie filling (apple, cherry, peach, etc.)

Melt butter; sift dry ingredients; mix, making crumbs. Save 1 cup for topping. Press the rest on a cookie tray with sides. Spoon fruit on top, then sprinkle with the crumbs. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Cut in squares while warm. Two different flavors can be made on same tray by dividing with a piece of folded foil.
