EVERYDAY WAFFLES 
1 3/4 c. sifted flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 beaten egg yolks
1 1/4 c. milk (or equal parts of evaporated milk & water)
1/2 c. melted shortening or salad oil
2 stiff beaten egg whites

Sift dry ingredients; stir in egg yolks, milk and shortening. Fold in egg whites. Bake in hot waffle iron.
