BROWN SUGAR BECAN COOKIES 
1 c. pecan halves
1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla
3 tbsp. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg, beaten

Grease 2 cookie sheets well. Dust lightly with flour.

Melt butter in sauce pan and stir in sugar. Stir in eggs, pecans, flour, and vanilla. Mix thoroughly. Drop from teaspoon onto cookie sheet, about 5 inches apart to allow for spreading. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes. Remove from oven and allow 1 minute to cool. Use a wide spatula to remove cookies. Makes 3 to 4 dozen.
