ITALIAN MEAT SAUCE 
1 lb. ground beef or pork
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 clove garlic, minced
3 1/2 cups tomato puree
1 cup water
2/3 cup tomato paste
1 tbsp. chopped parsley
1 tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. basil
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 (16 oz.) box macaroni
grated Parmesan cheese

Brown ground beef or pork in large skillet. Add onion and garlic and cook until onion is tender. Stir in tomato puree, water, tomato paste, parsley, sugar, basil, salt and pepper. Simmer 30 minutes.
