GERMAN POTATO SALAD | |
8 potatoes Cooked with skins on; then peel. 5 slices bacon, diced 1 med. onion, chopped Fry onion with bacon pieces until crisp. Add: 1 1/2 tbsp. flour 3/4 c. water 1/3 c. brown vinegar 2 tbsp. sugar 1 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. dry mustard Cook until thickened; set aside. Slice cooked potatoes; carefully place 1/4 potatoes in serving bowl; finely chop 3/4 cup celery and place 1/4 of the celery on top of potatoes and 1/4 of the warm dressing poured over top; repeat this 3 more times. Let stand 1 to 2 hours (keep warm) before serving. |
