SWEDISH MEATBALLS | |
2 lbs. meat loaf mixture (beef & pork) 2 tsp. salt & pepper 3/4 c. bread crumbs 3/4 c. milk 2 eggs, beaten 1/2 c. onion, sauteed 1/2 tsp. allspice Soak bread crumbs in milk. Mix all ingredients with fingers, form in 1" balls on greased jelly roll pan. Bake 20 to 25 minutes at 375 degrees. Remove to baking dish, cover with sauce and warm together. SAUCE: 2 cans mushroom soup, diluted with half and half cream 1 c. cream sauce Salt & pepper Dill seed 1/2 tsp. grated cheese to taste Serves 8. |
