GARLIC SOUP 
4 lg. cloves garlic, peeled
2 cans condensed beef broth
2 c. water
1 c. dry sherry
4 slices French bread
1/4-1/2 c. butter, softened
2-3 tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese

Add garlic cloves to beef broth in saucepan. Cover and simmer 15 minutes until garlic is soft. Remove garlic and reserve. Add water and sherry and reheat to serving temperature.

Toast bread one side under broiler, remove, spread other side with butter. Mash garlic and spread over buttered side of bread. Sprinkle with cheese. Return to brown until its bubbly, remove and place toast in serving size bowl, pour soup over bread and serve hot.
