CARAMEL SAND TARTS 
1 c. light brown sugar
1/2 c. Crisco or butter
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla

1 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt

Chill dough. Roll out on slightly floured board; cut and decorate. Bake 10 minutes at 350 degrees on greased sheet.
