ENERGY SAVING ROAST 
1 boneless beef round tip roast (4 to 5 lbs.)

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Place roast fat side up on a rack in a shallow roasting pan. Do not add water. Do not cover. Roast for 1 hour. Turn off oven - do not open door. Let stand for up to 4 hours.

Turn oven back on to 375 degrees. Roast for 40 minutes. Remove to serving dish and let stand for 10 to 15 minutes before carving. Season to suit your taste.
