4 tbsp. butter (no substitutes) 1 egg (sm. - little egg white) 4 tbsp. sugar 1 c. currants (Zante - blue box) 1/2 c. milk 1/2 tsp. salt 4 tsp. baking powder Cream butter and egg. Add sifted dry ingredients with milk; add currants. Divide dough in half. Roll out in circle and cut into 6ths (wedges). Brush with reserved egg white. Bake on greased sheet in 400-450 degree oven for 12-15 minutes. You an also cut in circles if you prefer. |
