2 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 c. bacon drippings
3 c. flour
2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cloves
3 tsp. baking powder
1 c. cold water

Mix all ingredients together thoroughly. Bake in a greased and floured tube pan at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Sprinkle with powdered sugar or drizzle a glaze over cooled cake.
