One Dish Tamale Pie

One Dish Tamale Pie (Oregon) says:
Very good. I have never made Tamale Pie and was quite surprised that the corn meal was stirred directly into the pot! I used diced tmatoes with green chilies which was medium spicy. I added a bit less cumin and chili pepper. Had two toddlers for dinner and even with the spice, they really chowed down. Wish I had olives in it, but neither toddler liked them. Definitely will make again, but it does make a big batch.
