PECAN TEA COOKIES 
1 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. sifted flour
1 1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. chopped pecans

Cream shortening, sugar, and vanilla until fluffy. Sift flour and salt; add to mixture. Blend; add pecans. Shape into 1 inch balls; bake on ungreased baking sheets at 325 degrees about 20 minutes. Cool on rack, then roll in sifted powdered sugar. Makes 6 dozen.
