CRISP PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES 
1 c. shortening
1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs, beaten
1 c. peanut butter
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt

Cream shortening, sugar and vanilla. Add eggs and beat thoroughly. Stir in peanut butter. Sift dry ingredients together and stir into creamed mixture. Drop by teaspoonful onto greased cookie sheet. Press with back of sugared fork in criss cross design. Bake at 350 degrees. Yield: 6 dozen.
