GROUND BEEF CASSEROLE 
2 lb. ground chuck
1/2 c. chopped onion
3/4 c. chopped green pepper
1 c. quick cook rice
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 tbsp. chili powder
2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
2 c. shredded American cheese

Combine ground chuck, onions, green pepper, rice, salt and pepper in large skillet and brown. Pour off any excess grease after it has cooked. Then add chili powder, tomato sauce, and 1 cup of cheese. Cook on low heat about 15 minutes. Pour contents in large casserole dish and top with remaining cheese. Bake in 350 degree oven for 20 minutes. Serve 8 to 10 people. Cooking and preparation time about 1 hour.
