PICKLED TOMATOES 
4 1/2 lbs. ripe peeled tomatoes
4 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. vinegar
1 tbsp. powdered or broken cinnamon
1 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. allspice

Scald and peel tomatoes and then cut into quarters. Place in cooking pan, adding sugar, vinegar and spices. Cook slowly until mixture thickens and then place in sterilize glass jars and seal according to jar directions.
