HASH BROWN POTATO CASSEROLE 
2 lb. pkg. frozen hash browns, thawed
1 1/2 sticks butter, melted
1 c. chopped onion
1 can cream of chicken soup, undiluted
8 oz. carton sour cream
2 c. shredded cheddar cheese
2 c. corn flakes
Garlic salt to taste (opt.)

Combine potatoes, 1 stick melted butter, onions, soup, sour cream and cheese, stir well. Spoon into greased 2 1/2 quart casserole. Crush cereal and stir in 1/2 stick melted butter. Sprinkle over casserole. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Garnish with parsley, if desired. Baking dish 11 3/4 x 7 1/2 x 1 3/4 inches may also be used.
