1 c. butter, softened
1 c. powdered sugar
2 tsp. maraschino cherry juice
3/4 tsp. almond extract
Few drops of red food coloring
2 1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. maraschino cherries, drained and chopped

Heat oven to 350 degrees. In large bowl combine butter, powdered sugar, cherry juice, almond extract and food coloring. Blend well. Add flour, salt and cherries and mix well. Form dough into 1 inch balls. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 8-10 minutes. Makes 48.
