CARAMEL CRUNCH APPLE PIE | |
28 Kraft caramels 2 tbsp. water 4 c. sliced peeled apples 1 (9 inch) unbaked pastry shell 3/4 c. flour 1/3 c. sugar 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 c. chopped walnuts 1/3 c. butter Melt caramels with water in double boiler or saucepan over low heat; stir occasionally until sauce is smooth. Layer apples and caramel sauce in pastry shell. Combine flour, sugar, cinnamon and nuts; cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle over apples. Bake at 375 degrees 40 to 45 minutes. |
