PORK CHOPS & APPLES 
6 pork chops, cut 1" thick
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. black pepper
4 apples, peeled & quartered
3 tbsp. brown sugar
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
12 sm. white onions
1/4 c. seedless raisins
1 c. dry white wine
2 tbsp. sweet sherry
1/8 tsp. thyme

Season chops with salt/pepper. Brown for 5 minutes each side and drain. Place in baking pan with apples, onions, and raisins on top. Add white wine, sherry, brown sugar, thyme and nutmeg. Cover for the last 15 minutes. Taste for seasoning. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Serves 6.
