LACE COOKIES 
1/3 c. sifted cake flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/8 tsp. salt
1/4 c. butter
1 egg, beaten
1 c. chopped walnuts or pecans

Cream butter and sugar. Combine flour, baking powder and salt. Work in flour and beat in egg. Stir in nuts. Drop by 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2-inches apart on cookie sheet that has been lined with aluminum foil and sprayed.

Bake in a 375°F oven for 5 minutes. Cool and peel off. Store with layers of wax paper between. These are some of Bill's favorites. They are as thin as paper.
