PEANUT BUTTER PIE 
Bake 10" pie shell
1/2 c. peanut butter
3/4 c. powdered sugar
1/3 c. cornstarch
1/2 c. sugar
2 c. milk
3 egg yolks, slightly beaten
2 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tbsp. peanut butter
Dash salt

Blend peanut butter and powdered sugar until a mealy texture. Sprinkle 2/3 of this on bottom of baked pie shell; reserve the rest.

In saucepan combine cornstarch, sugar, milk, salt and egg yolks. Cook until thick, stirring often. Add butter, vanilla and peanut butter. Cool slightly. Top with meringue. Sprinkle remaining mealy mixture on top of meringue and brown until golden on top.

Meringue: Beat together 3 egg whites until stiff and gradually add 1/3 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla.
