BOSTON BROWN BREAD | |
1 pkg. raisins 1 c. sugar 2 tbsp. Crisco 2 tsp. baking soda 1 1/2 c. hot water Mix well until soda and Crisco is dissolved. Let stand at least 2 hours. Then add and mix: 1/2 tsp. salt 1 beaten egg Put into 3 (#2) cans, greased, half filled in oven at 375 degrees for 1 hour. Yield: 3 loaves. |
