DUTCH SAND COOKIES 
3 sticks butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Cream sugar and butter together. Mix in flour and baking soda and vanilla. Beat until smooth.

Shape into 3 rolls, refrigerate overnight. Slice 1/4-inch or thinner and bake at 350 degrees for about 12 minutes.
