WATERGATE CAKE 
1 pkg. yellow or white cake mix
3 eggs
3/4 c. oil
1 c. mandarin oranges (save juice)

Beat eggs, oil and juice of the oranges together. Add cake mix and beat 3 minutes. Fold in oranges, bake at temperature and time given on cake mix box. Test for doneness with toothpick inserted in center. May use 9x11 inch or two 8 or 9-inch layer cake pans.

FROSTING:

1 (4 3/4 oz.) pkg. instant vanilla pudding mix
1 (8 oz.) container Cool Whip
2 1/2 c. crushed pineapple, well drained

Mix together pudding mix and Cool Whip. Fold in pineapple. Spread on cooled cake. Sprinkle with coconut and chopped nuts.
