HOMEMADE DINNER ROLLS | |
1 pkg. dry yeast 1 c. lukewarm water 1/2 c. sugar 1 tsp. salt 3 tbsp. liquid shortening 4 1/4 to 4 3/4 c. flour Dissolve yeast in 2 cups lukewarm water. Add sugar, salt and shortening and stir. Add flour gradually. Pour out on floured board and knead. Put in greased bowl and let rise 2 hours. Then roll out. Use round cookie cutter and cut out rolls, fold over and put on pan and let rise for 2 more hours. When doubled in size, bake at 425 degrees for 10 minutes. |
