DOUGHNUT MUFFINS 
2/3 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
3 c. flour
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. sour milk
2 tbsp. baking powder

TOPPING:

1 stick butter
1 c. sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon

Cream the shortening and sugar; add the eggs, beating well. Add flour, baking powder, salt, and nutmeg alternately with sour milk. Blend well. Fill muffin tins half full and bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 30 minutes or until done. Remove from pan at once.
