KARO WINTER CARNIVAL CASSEROLE 
3 c. cooked macaroni
1/4 c. chopped onion & green pepper
1 lb. ground beef
Lg. can tomatoes
1/2 c. all-purpose Karo syrup
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. chili powder
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 bay leaf
2 tbsp. cornstarch

Brown onion, green pepper and beef. Pour out and save 1/4 cup liquid from tomatoes. Add rest of tomatoes, syrup, salt, pepper and chili powder to meat mixture. Bring to a boil and simmer for 15 minutes - covered. Blend 2 tablespoons of cornstarch with 1/4 cup of liquid from tomatoes, stir into meat mixture. Bring to boil while stirring.

Add 3 cups cooked macaroni or rice. Pour into 2 quart casserole. Sprinkle with 1 cup grated cheddar cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes.
