SNOWBALL CAKE | |
1 tbsp. Knox gelatin 4 tbsp. cold water 1 c. boiling water 3/4 c. sugar 1 c. orange juice Juice of 1 lemon 1/8 tsp. salt 1/2 pt. whipping cream 1 angel food cake mix 1 tbsp. sugar Vanilla Coconut FROSTING: 1/2 whipping cream, beaten 1 tbsp. sugar 1 tbsp. vanilla Mix gelatin with cold water and let stand. Add to this boiling water, sugar, orange juice, lemon juice and salt. Let jel. Beat cream until stiff with tablespoon sugar and vanilla. Fold into orange mixture. Take a 2 quart bowl and line with wax paper. Break cake into pieces and put some pieces in bowl, then orange juice mixture. Continue alternating until bowl is filled. End with cake. Put in refrigerator overnight. Top cake over plate and remove wax paper. Frost with cream mixture. Sprinkle with coconut. |
