WILLIAMSBURG GOLDEN GINGERBREAD | |
1 stick butter 1/2 c. white sugar 1 c. honey 3 eggs 3 c. flour 2 tbsp. ginger 1 tsp. ground coriander 1 tsp. mace 1 tsp. cinnamon 1 tsp. cream of tartar 1 tsp. baking soda 1/2 c. warm sweet milk 3 tbsp. orange juice 1 tsp. orange extract Cream butter and sugar. Stir in honey. Mix well, and add eggs, continuing to mix. Slowly stir in flour and spices. Dissolve cream of tartar and soda in milk, and stir into the batter. Add juice and extract. Mix well, and spoon into greased miniature muffin tins. Bake at 325 degrees for about 20 minutes. Makes 4 to 5 dozen. |
