SOFT PRETZELS 
2 tbsp. dry yeast
1 1/2 c. lukewarm water
1/2 tsp. salt
4 1/4 c. flour
1/4 c. cold water
2 tbsp. baking soda

Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add salt and flour. Mix together with spoon. Allow to rise 15 minutes. Knead well and roll out 1/2 inch thick. Cut into about 10 strips. Shape each strip into a pretzel. Set aside.

Stir soda into water and brush solution on top of each pretzel. Sprinkle each pretzel with salt. Place on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 450 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
