STUFFED ACORN SQUASH 
1 lb. bulk pork sausage, ground beef or turkey
1 c. peeled fine-chopped apple
1/2 c. finely chopped onion
1/2 c. dry bread crumbs
1 egg yolk
1/4 tsp. fresh ground pepper
1/2 tsp. dried sage
1/4 tsp. Tabasco sauce
2 med. acorn squash

Mix ingredients well. Split acorn squash in half and remove seeds and stringy fibers. Mound stuffing mixture in squash halves and put in baking dish. Cover with boil. Bake 60 minutes at 350 degrees. Serves 4.
