TOMATOES AND OKRA 
3 slices bacon
2 lb. okra, cut in 1/2 inch slices
1 med. green pepper, finely chopped
1 sm. onion
2 cloves garlic, minced; optional
2 lb. fresh tomatoes, peeled and cubed
Salt and pepper to taste

Fry bacon until crisp; drain and reserve drippings. Cook okra in bacon drippings. Add green pepper, onion, and garlic. Stir in tomatoes and crumbled, cooked bacon. Add salt and pepper. Cover skillet and cook additional 15 minutes. 8 servings.
