PIZZA SWISS STEAK | |
2 lbs. round steak 2 tbsp. flour 2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 1 med. onion 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce 1 (8 oz.) can pizza sauce 1/2 c. water 1/2 tsp. sugar 1/2 tsp. dried oregano Trim fat from round steak, cut in serving size pieces. Stir together flour, salt, pepper, and coat meat in mixture. Pound meat with a mallet to about 1/2 inch thickness. Brown meat in 2 tablespoons hot oil, drain fat. Place onion, sliced and rings separated, in bottom of slow cooker. Layer meat on top. Stir together tomato sauce, pizza sauce, water, sugar, and oregano. Pour over meat. Cover and cook on low, 8 to 10 hours. |
