BAKED CABBAGE CASSEROLE 
1 med. head cabbage, shredded
1 med. onion, chopped
1 lb. hamburger
1 c. unsoaked rice (not instant)
Salt and pepper to taste
1 1/2 c. boiling water
1 stick butter
1 lg. or 2 sm. cans tomato sauce

Spread half of the cabbage in a greased casserole. Fry onion and rice to brown in butter. Pour over cabbage and add boiling water. Brown hamburger and sprinkle over rice. Add salt and pepper. Top with remaining cabbage and pour tomato sauce on top. Bake in 350 degree oven for 1 hour. Cover.
