2 c. all purpose flour
2 c. sugar
1 stick butter
4 tbsp. cocoa
1/2 c. vegetable oil
1 c. water
2 eggs
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla

ICING:

3/4 stick butter
4 tbsp. cocoa
5 tbsp. milk
3/4 box confectioners' sugar

Sift flour and sugar together into a large bowl. In a saucepan bring to a boil the butter, cocoa, vegetable, oil and water. Pour over flour mixture and beat. Add eggs, vanilla and buttermilk (to which soda has been added). Beat all ingredients well and pour into a greased 13"x9"x2" baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes.
