1 c. tomatoes, peeled, cut up (original recipe did not remove seeds) 1 c. sugar 1 full teaspoon lemon juice 1 thin 1/2 slice lemon to each jar Cook until it thickens, watch closely; it burns easily. Cook until drop off end of spoon is very slow in dropping. Recipe at least 100 years old. My Grandmother's and her Mother's. |
