SHORT RIBS 
2 1/2 lbs. ribs
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 big sliced onion
1 tsp. dry mustard
2 tbsp. lemon juice
2 bay leaves
1 1/2 c. water
1/4 c. brown sugar
1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen lima beans
1-2 pkgs. peeled carrots
Flour for gravy

Brown ribs in own fat. Pour off drippings. Add salt, pepper, mustard, lemon juice, bay leaves and water. Cover tightly and cook for 2 hours. Add brown sugar, lima beans, and carrots. Continue cooking 45 minutes or until vegetables are done. Move to hot platter and discard the bay leaves. Thicken cooking liquid with flour.
