PUMPKIN COOKIES 
Cream:

2 c. sugar
2 c. shortening

Add:

1 (16 oz.) can pumpkin
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla (beat well)

Sift together:

4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. allspice

Add to creamed mixture; mix well. Drop from rounded teaspoons onto greased cookie sheet, about 2 inches apart. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes. Frost with vanilla frosting. Makes 12 dozen.
